मिति's calendar and panchanga are verified against the official राष्ट्रिय पञ्चाङ्ग published by the Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Vikas Samiti — the legally recognised authority for Bikram Sambat dates, tithi and panchanga in Nepal. Grouped by year below: the official PDF plus the human-verified patro and events CSVs the app's data is built from, so you can check any date yourself.

The Bikram Sambat ↔ Gregorian conversion itself does no astronomical computation — for each year we simply transcribe the month lengths and the Baisakh 1 Gregorian date from the published Nepali calendars, and every conversion in the app follows from those numbers. All of that source data is listed under Calendar conversion data below.

For the din phal, ratri phal and muhurta (शुभ मुहूर्त) data, we consulted several of the patros available in the market and used the Himal Panchangam as the authoritative source.

Special thanks to Kamal Prasad Sharma (Birauta, Pokhara) for generously sharing his knowledge of the traditional Nepali Patro and assisting us in verifying our Panchanga (Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, and Karana) calculations and presentation.

Calendar conversion data

One YAML file per year — the month lengths and the Baisakh 1 Gregorian date transcribed from the published Nepali calendars. These files are the sole source for every BS ↔ AD conversion in मिति. Click any year to view its raw data.
